
In addition to the exquisite culinary experience on the island of St. Kitts, a visit would not be complete without exploring the island's natural beauty, history and local culture. We have selected activities that capture the highlights for a memorable Caribbean vacation. All transportation will be provided to and from accommodations.

Catamaran Sail to Nevis A Must for Everyone!! 8:45 am pickup and 4:00 return (includes lunch, drinks, snorkel equipment). An all-day event that has been scheduled during the week. Sail on a giant 67' catamaran sailboat that cruises to the sister island Nevis with a snorkeling excursion on the way and a barbecue lunch at Sunshine's on Pinney's sandy beach
Rainforest Hike Two half-day tours either at 8:30 am or 2 pm. The tour is four hours long and the cost is approximately $55 (includes exotic island picnic). The tour will begin in a Land Rover that will take you to abandoned sugar mills with wildlife viewings along the way and then meander on foot into the island mountains for a 2 hour interpretive hike of local discovery and intrigue along rainforested looped trails
Snorkeling Trip to Turtle Beach An afternoon of fun and adventure exploring the depths of the sea on an easily accessible coral reef while relaxing on the shores of Turtle Beach or having a snack at the beachfront restaurant. Vervet monkeys, chickens and well known Wilbur the Pig await your arrival.
Island Drive A drive around the island with a local islander who can talk about the past and present with intimate familiarity
Romney Manor and The Batik Factory Watch local artisans actually paint on silk fabric the fabulous batik designs for which St. Kitts Batik Factory has become famous. Shop for the items you most admire, then stroll through the gorgeous botanical gardens of Romney Manor.
Ottley's Plantation Walk the grounds and learn the history of this former mountainside sugar plantation, a spectacular example of Caribbean architecture and landscaping.
Rawlin's Plantation and Kate Spencer's Art Studio Relive the experience of “the Caribbean as it used to be,” a mountain plantation in the rain forest with incredible views of the neighboring islands of Statia and Dominica. Visit the studio/gallery of renowned English/Kittitian artist Kate Spencer whose work appears throughout St. Kitts and worldwide.
Brimstone Hill Fortress and National Park Tour this amazing mountaintop fortress with its awesome walled battlements, cannon posts, ammunition magazines, officers' and soldiers' quarters once known as “the Gibraltar of the Caribbean," from which the English defended their West Indian colonies.
St. Kitts Capital city of Basseterre Tour this charming example of Caribbean town life and architecture with centuries old houses, museums, churches and squares, local markets and restaurants, shops and harbor boating life.
Pottery Studio Visit and talk with well-known local ceramicist, Carla Astaphan, whose stunning ceramics and masks capture the heart and essence of the Caribbean heritage of indigenous crafts. These beautiful ceramics may be found in homes, restaurants and inns all over the island. Shop for a piece to bring back home with you!
Royal Stables: Horseback Riding Horseback riding at Royal Stables 8:50 am pickup and 12:30 return at a cost of $50.00 per person. Enjoy a leisurely ride through cane fields with beautiful landscape vistas and views of the Caribbean Sea. Then meander into the rainforest where your guide will point out unusual native trees, plants and fresh bubbling brooks. Enjoy a refreshing drink at a local shop on the return ride.
St. Kitts Scenic Railway Tour Enjoy a 3 hour tour at a cost of approximately $80.00 per person. The tour is fully narrated with complimentary specialty drinks, island music and a colorful narrative history of the Caribbean. This one-of-a-kind narrow gauge railroad was built almost a century ago to deliver sugar cane to the mills. The railway now provides a fascinating way to see the island with panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and countryside including small villages, farms and vistas of historical sites.
